Augmented Interface Systems for the Darcy - Stokes 2 Problem 3

چکیده
In this paper we study interface equations associated to the Darcy-Stokes problem 8 using the classical Steklov-Poincaré approach and a new one called augmented. We compare 9 these two families of methods and characterize at the discrete level suitable preconditioners 10 with additive and multiplicative structures. Finally, we present some numerical results to as11 sess their behavior in presence of small physical parameters. 12

Well-posed Stokes/Brinkman and Stokes/Darcy problems for coupled fluid-porous viscous flows
We present a well-posed model for the Stokes/Brinkman problem with a family of jump embedded boundary conditions (J.E.B.C.) on an immersed interface with weak regularity assumptions. It is issued from a general framework recently proposed for fictitious domain problems. Our model is based on algebraic transmission conditions combining the stress and velocity jumps on the interface S separating ...
متن کاملFinite Element Methods for Saddlepoint Problems with Application to Darcy and Stokes Flow
The goal of this short course is to review the analysis and the systematic discretization of saddlepoint systems that arise in the weak formulation of certain fluid flow problems by Galekrin methods. To demonstrate the applicability of the main arguments in various situations, we consider the slow flow of water through a channel surrounded by a porous aquiver. While the free flow of the fluid m...
متن کاملCoupled Stokes-Darcy Model with Beavers-Joseph Interface Boundary Condition
We investigate the well-posedness of a coupled Stokes-Darcy model with Beavers-Joseph interface boundary conditions. In the steady-state case, the well-posedness is established under the assumption of small coefficient in the Beavers-Joseph interface boundary condition. In the time-dependent case, the well-posedness is established via appropriate time discretization of the problem and a novel s...
متن کاملDecoupled schemes for a non-stationary mixed Stokes-Darcy model
We study numerical methods for solving a non-stationary mixed Stokes-Darcy problem that models coupled fluid flow and porous media flow. A decoupling approach based on interface approximation via temporal extrapolation is proposed for devising decoupled marching algorithms for the mixed model. Error estimates are derived and numerical experiments are conducted to demonstrate the computational e...
